The Sad Story of Extinction

Extinct, what does it mean? Extinct: No longer in existence; that has ended or died out. There are different types of extinction, but what are some?

Mass-Extinction

Mass extinction is a large group of animals that die off at about the same time. Dinosaurs died out because of mass-extinction. Some say they died of a series of natural disasters, or climate and temperature changed so quickly that it caused all of them to die. Mass-extinction is nature's way of balancing population.

Man Made Extinction

Man made extinction is self explanatory. (Extinction because of man kind) An example of a man made extinction is the passenger pigeon.  People cut their forest homes faster than they were able to reproduce! That is the cause of how many animals today are becoming endangered. While natural extinction is nature's way of balancing population of species, man made extinction of animals is purposely done and is harmful to all earth's beautiful creatures.
